Welcome! What you need to know
If you are visiting Dillon Beach for a short time, welcome. We love it here and we want you to love it too.
We also want to be able to assist you if you have the misfortune of your vacation being interrupted by an earthquake or other extreme event. We don’t want to sound negative — keep in mind that DBERT is made up of people who choose to live here — but we do want to be realistic.
When the Big One strikes, we’re likely to be cut off from the rest of the world for a while.
If you are planning to come to Dillon Beach and haven’t arrived yet, consider bringing more food and other supplies than are required for your planned visit, because an emergency might extend that visit. That, of course, is good advice for any trip, not just one to Dillon Beach.
